Program Overview & Content Most people are not aware that they can maintain brain health and cognitive strength throughout the lifespan. The program will reveal methods of empowerment to improve and sustain cognition, memory, sleep and focus for individuals, clients, and employees.
Many of those in their forties and fifties have often noticed “senior moments” (minor yet worrisome lapses in memory or slowed comprehension) in their aging parents and worry if they are destined to the same fate. With our great advances in medicine and pharmacology most people today will live well into their 80s and 90s, but what degree of cognition will they enjoy?
The concept that intelligence is entirely inherited and fixed is no longer valid. New scientific evidence demonstrates that the brain is highly plastic and cognitive ability can be increased at any stage of life; whether you are 6, 66 or 106. This program focuses on:
INTELLIGENCE Learn the latest concepts of what intelligence is and what it is not.
MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT (MCI) Studies now show that 50% of adults by age 40 show early signs.
ASSESSMENT A self-scored engaging and fun test of cognitive ability is administered.
BRAIN Learn which structural and physiological components are changeable, producing an increase in intellectual ability.
REVERSING MCI & IMPROVING INTELLIGENCE Discover ways to increase brain speed and retention
Participants will complete this program with an understanding of components of increasing intelligence they have control over and the latest, evidence based, best practices to increase cognitive function at any stage of life. They will gain an understanding of an 8- step action plan which they can immediately implement to improve cognitive ability and the tools to measure this increase on an ongoing basis. Aging gracefully does not mean accepting cognitive decline as inevitable.
